Announcement of Suspension of Church Services, Meetings and Activities
After prayerful consideration, it has been decided that services, meetings and activities will be suspended at The Lutheran Church of the Atonement. What was considered a crisis has been elevated to a pandemic and a national emergency has been declared. In consideration for those among us who are most vulnerable, changes have been made in how we remain in community with one another.
At this moment, plans are being made to keep the mutual love, confidence, respect and support we share with each other intact through this difficult time. Look for communications with your deacon, church leadership and your pastor for Word and Sacrament as well as service opportunities. Let us continue to be considerate of the health and safety of one another by following guidelines created to protect us.
Remember that God’s Spirit surrounds us even in the most difficult circumstances.
All will be well.
